are there opportunities to go & serve in china and south korea?
serving in China
Our ability to send short/mid/long term missionaries largely depends on the Chinese political climate and China’s attitude towards Christian missionaries
Sending teams into China comes with risks and we have terminated trips on short notice in the past to ensure the safety of members and our missionaries
Field work typically requires any or all or the following:
Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Korean (or trilingual!)
Background in medicine, therapy or counseling
A heart to love the Lord and to serve refugees
Pass as a local/native as to not raise suspicion while moving around China
serving in SOUTH Korea
Our primary work in South Korea is Elim House, a safehouse for abused North Korean defector women and their children
We plan to start sending small teams to South Korea in 2022
Field work in South Korea will require any or all of the following:
Bilingual in English and Korean
Background in medicine, therapy or counseling
A heart to love the Lord and to serve refugees
volunteering for Crossing Borders in the United States
Invite us to your church, campus ministry, book club, etc. We’d love to share more about our work and how God is moving in China and South Korea
If you have the gift of administration, Salesforce skills, content/copy writing, etc., reach out to us
love god, love others
We thank God for every heart that yearns to help North Korean refugees
The safety of North Korean refugees is our number one priority
We also take every precaution to ensure the safety of our workers, missionaries and volunteers
For all of these reasons, we are careful to discern the timing and details of trips, teams and volunteers
